Hello again, Friends of King's Academy,
Last year’s “Captain’s Challenge” campaign for the King’s Academy Opportunity Fund was a lot of fun and a big success for the school. Ibrahim, our scholarship student, has finished his first year with good grades and profound appreciation for his experience. This summer he will be working in Jordan with a non-governmental organization that assists refugees like himself.
THE 2018 DEDICATION CAMPAIGN
Ibrahim’s selfless attitude has inspired our 2018 fundraising campaign for the King’s Academy Opportunity Fund: The Dedication Campaign. This year, we would like donors to dedicate their gift to someone special. A Dedication can be to a spouse, child, a friend, parent, a teacher, someone who has passed, or even an historical figure... anyone the donor wishes to acknowledge/inspire. There is no limit to how many Dedications one can make.
BENEFITS
The Dedication Campaign is a “bigger than myself” campaign that encourages donors to honor friends and loved ones with our giving, adding a layer of personal meaning to a simple financial/tax act
Donors will accompany their pledges with messages of gratitude, inspiration, admiration - we will share these messages anonymously to share the energy of the campaign
It’s a participation campaign: the goal is to spread the word as widely as possible
It’s a limited duration campaign (only 30 days)
And it has a Pay-It-Forward component: donors can encourage others to make a donation and perhaps help them do something “bigger than themselves"
Similar to the competitive fun of last year's Captain’s Challenge, we have developed a simple scoringsystem by which donors can score points and win bragger’s rights. We will post the scoring on our website shortly.

Let the dedications begin! Your friend, Perry
