From the King’s Academy website:
“King’s Academy on Sunday dedicated a chemistry laboratory in honor of Mohammad and Monserrat Tamer and their extended family, for their collective generosity and immense support to the school.
Attending the ceremony on behalf of their family was Mohammad Tamer, a managing partner and the chief executive officer of Farouk, Maamoun Tamer & Company based in Saudi Arabia, and his wife Monserrat Ordonez, who are parents to King’s alumnus Farouk Tamer ’15 and graduating senior Mishaal Tamer ’17. The Tamers, who are passionate advocates of the school, have been active members of the King’s Parent Council and have been instrumental in strengthening the parent network in Saudi Arabia.
The extended Tamer family, namely Ayman, Taymoor, Tulin, Maamoun, Saeed, Faisal and Ranah Tamer, joined Mohammad and Monserrat in collectively donating to the construction of the school’s new dormitory and faculty apartment building, which will be completed this year.
Explaining the motivation behind his family’s generosity to King’s Academy, Tamer said:
“We believe education is key to building a better future for the new generation, and giving back that little bit to King’s is how you have an immediate impact on the school and provide something for generations to come.”
